What you will learn: how to set a new password while you are already signed in.
Screen name: Change your password
Address: /change-password
This is different from Forgot password. Forgot password is for when you cannot sign in. Change password is for when you can.
When you see this screen
- You opened it from the app menu (when Change password is listed).
- AlgoCatch requires a new password before the map (message: For your security, please set a new password before continuing.). This happens if an administrator set a temporary password, or the account is flagged
must change password.
You cannot skip a required change. The map waits until it succeeds.
How to change it
- Enter Current password.
- Enter New password (at least 8 characters).
- Enter Confirm new password.
- Tap Update password (Updating password…).
The new password cannot be the same as the current one. If it is, you see: New password cannot be the same as your current password.
After it works
You continue to the map (or to email confirmation / checkout if those are still pending). Next time, sign in with the new password.
If it fails

| “Password change failed” | Check the current password. If you do not know it, log out and use Forgot password. |
