What you will learn: how to get a recovery email, set a new password, and sign in again.
There are two screens. You always start from Forgot password. You only see Reset password after you open the link in the email.
Step 1 — Request a recovery link
Screen: Forgot password
Address: /forgot-password
How to open: on Sign in, tap Forgot password?
- Enter your Email.
- Tap Send recovery link (Sending… while it works).
- You should see: If that email is registered, we sent a password recovery link.
That wording is the same whether the email exists or not. That prevents other people from probing who has an account. Check Inbox and Spam.
Tap Back to sign in if you remember the password after all.
If the request fails, you see Request failed. Try again, then email support@algocatch.com if it keeps failing.
Step 2 — Choose a new password
Screen: Reset password
Address: /reset-password?token=… (the token is inside the email link)
- Open the newest recovery email and tap the link.
- Enter New password (at least 8 characters).
- Enter Confirm new password. Both fields must match.
- Tap Update password.
You are signed out, then sent to Sign in with: Password updated successfully. Sign in with your new password.
Use the new password from now on.
If the reset link does not work

| “Reset link is invalid or missing. Request a new password recovery email.” | The link expired, was already used, or was copied incompletely. Tap Request recovery link and use the newest email. |
| “Passwords do not match.” | Re-type both fields. |
| “Password must be at least 8 characters.” | Choose a longer password. |
| “Password reset failed” | Request a fresh link. |
Do not forward an old recovery email to yourself days later — request a new one.
