What you will learn: how the upgrade dialog works, how to pick a plan, and how payment continues in Stripe.
You can upgrade from almost any lock on the map, or from Choose plan on algocatch.com.
From the map (when you hit a lock)
A dialog titled AlgoCatch VIP / Unlock what you just reached for appears.
It always has:
- A short eyebrow (Habitat unlock, Route suggestions, 3D seafloor, …)
- What you just reached for
- Free vs VIP gap (one line each)
- A primary button (for example Unlock all habitats, Go VIP, Unlock 3D seafloor)
- A secondary button to keep the Free tool (Keep fishing free, Not now, …)
- Close (aria: Close upgrade dialog)
Pick a plan chip: Week, Season, Yearly, Lifetime (see Free vs VIP for prices). Week Pass copy reminds you the €5 can credit toward Season or Yearly within 7 days.
Tap the primary button → Continue to payment / Redirecting…. Your browser opens Stripe Checkout (card form). AlgoCatch does not store your full card number.
If checkout cannot start: Could not start checkout. Please try again.
From the website
On the landing pricing section, tap Choose plan on Week / Season / Yearly / Lifetime. If you do not have an account yet, you register first, confirm email, then pay.
After Stripe
You return to the app:
- Success → Payment successful
- You closed the window → Payment cancelled
VIP features unlock when the success page has verified the payment (a few seconds). Then Open the map.
