What you will learn: how VIP members open the billing portal to update a card, download invoices, or cancel.
How to open: map menu → Manage subscription
The button can show Opening… while Stripe’s customer portal loads.
You only see this item if your account is allowed to manage billing (you bought VIP through the in-app / website checkout).
What the portal is for
AlgoCatch uses Stripe for cards. The portal is Stripe’s page, not the fishing map. Typical tasks:
- Update the payment card
- See invoices and receipts
- Cancel a recurring plan (Yearly / Seasonal, if yours renews)
Week Pass and Lifetime are one-time purchases. There may be nothing to “cancel” for those; you already paid for the period or for forever access.
If the portal does not open
The menu can show Unable to open subscription management. Causes:
- Pop-up blocked — allow pop-ups for app.algocatch.com and try again
- Temporary billing error — wait and retry
- Your VIP was granted manually (not a self-serve Stripe purchase) — there is no portal. Contact support with category Billing
Canceling a subscription does not delete your account. You keep Free map access. See Delete your account only if you want the account gone.
