Corridor calendar

When to stay ashore: bora, jugo, flood colour, ferry water

Stay ashore when the day is not a fishing day. Bora, jugo, flood colour and ferry water are enough. This is not a new town guide. Examples only: Krk, Pag, Po Delta, Split. Local season notes stay on those pages. Month logic lives on the parent corridor calendar.

A habitat score does not override a dangerous forecast. The chart is not for navigation.

Bora

A bora can clear water and still stop a small boat. Krk is a side-choice island: one shore can be civil while the other is unusable. Pick the lee or stay on the quay. Do not treat a high habitat score on the exposed side as a reason to leave.

After a moderate bora, water is often readable. That is a later window, not a reason to punch out into the gusts.

Jugo

A jugo raises swell on open sand faster than in a southern lee. Pag’s flats and Velebit fetch punish a late call. Poreč’s western riviera is the same family of problem. If the forecast is a building south wind, the honest plan is coffee, not a “quick look”.

Flood colour

Po Delta is the working example. Flood colour is not “good murk for orada”. It is a reason to wait a cycle. Mixed and sand edges still exist. You cannot see them. Score is a model match. It does not see what you cannot steer through.

Ferry water

Split’s ferry corridors are not a fishing lane. Early and late still exist. The main corridor at rush hour is not your sit. Stay ashore or pick a pocket the timetable does not own. Do not anchor in the line.

What this page is not

It is not a town index. It is not a weather API. It is not a marine forecast product. Check a forecast you trust, then decide.

Last method

Wind. Colour. Traffic. Then fish or stay. The corridor calendar tells you which month is worth launching. This child tells you which day is not.

Open Krk, Pag, Po Delta or Split only as examples. Then leave.

Krk is the example of choosing a shore, not a bravado crossing. One side can be civil. The other can be a wall of bora. Habitat score on the exposed pin is still a model match. It is not a marine forecast. Pick the lee or stay on the quay. The place page keeps local notes. This child will not become a second Krk guide.

Pag’s flats take jugo swell early. Velebit fetch is the other half of the story. Orada on sand still wants a class change you can sit. If you cannot sit, stay ashore. Do not upgrade a mute pin into a long drive because the apartment has a view of water.

Flood colour is the working Italian example. You cannot read the edge. Score will still number something. Wait a cycle. Mixed and sand still exist. Steering through brown water because a chip was orange is not recreational planning. NE Italy remains sea-side. Lagoon is out. This is not a lagoon-channel mark.

Split’s problem is often traffic in the water, not a lack of depth. Rush hour corridors are not your sit. Early and late still exist. The place page already says this. This child exists so the calendar can hand off a day-level no without writing 26 essays.

Use a forecast you trust. Then the pin. Score last. The chart is not for navigation. 3D will not make a bora smaller. SST will not make a ferry disappear. Effort will not mean the lane is empty.

Coffee is a valid plan

A cancelled launch is still recreational fishing done correctly. The corridor calendar tells you which month is worth booking. This child tells you which day is not. Krk, Pag, Po Delta and Split remain examples. They are not a second set of town guides. Score last. Forecast first. Then the pin.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fish a strong bora from shore?
Sometimes on the lee wall. That is still a stay-ashore call for the boat. Do not upgrade a quay session into a crossing.
Does Pag always stay ashore in jugo?
The flats often do. The island has sides. Read the local page. This URL will not become a second Pag guide.
Is flood colour a pelagic green light?
No.
