Where: any species habitat mode → Tools
This is the habitat version of zone finder. It answers: “In what I am looking at, which patches score highest for this fish?”
Run it
- Switch to a habitat (for example gilthead). See Habitat layers.
- Pan to tonight’s water. Do not search the entire Adriatic in one go.
- Open Tools → Find Top Areas.
- Wait for the Found Areas list.
- Tap an area to focus the map and read the popup (score, depth, bottom, and similar).
- Clear when you want a new search.
Share / gift
On an unlocked habitat you may see Share one secret habitat. That creates a 48-hour private preview link. Details: Gift a private preview.
Free/trial users can gift only habitats their plan has unlocked, and may hit a weekly gift cap (Weekly gift used. Next gift resets …). VIP gifts more freely.
Export
Export CSV of ranked areas is VIP. Free users view the list in the app.
Area finder lock
If zone/area finder is locked for a habitat you do not own, upgrade copy explains: You tried to scan this view for ranked fishing zones. Unlock that habitat, or stay on gilthead.
If nothing is found
- Zoom to a smaller shelf with mixed depths
- Confirm coverage
- For gilthead on Free after the score cap date, top 60+ patches are hidden — pan to other structure or upgrade
Onboarding hint if gift autostart finds nothing: No Orada peak in this view yet - open Tools → Find Top Areas, then gift.
