Tool: Suggest routes (trolling) or Suggested Longlines (longline)
How to open: Trolling or Longline → Tools
This is the “show me a line to try” button. It is not a guarantee of fish. It follows bathymetry and the species/depth profile you set.
Before you tap Suggest
- Pan the map to the water you will actually fish. The search uses what is on screen.
- In Setup, pick Depth profile:
- Shallow coast (≤30m) — inside edges, harbour approaches, coastal trolling
- Deeper offshore — when you are working further out
- Pick Species (trolling examples: dentex, amberjack, leerfish, bonito, mahi).
- For longline, pick sea bream or common pandora and use Suggested Longlines / Max longlines.
Stay inside Adriatic coverage. Outside it, you get the coverage notice instead of routes.
Trolling options

Tap the control labelled Suggest routes. Wait until the list fills.
Read the results
Each result is something like Route 1 with:
- Length in nautical miles
- Time at the speed you set
- Scores (average and a high percentile) — higher is a better match to the model for your species, not a promise
Tap a row to focus that line on the map. Open Route Statistics when it appears for a fuller profile.
Then save the one you want to keep, or ignore the rest.

The map can show 1 route left today, # routes left today, or 0 routes left today - resets at midnight.
When you are out, tapping Suggest opens VIP copy: You hit today’s free route suggestion limit. You can still draw by hand for free.
Route with live current awareness (currents baked into the suggestion) is a VIP extra. Free suggestions use the bathymetry / species model without that current-aware option.
If Suggest fails
