Adriatic bag and size limits: a jurisdiction map, not a kilogram table
This page is a jurisdiction map. It tells you where Croatia, Slovenia and Italy publish keep and size rules. It does not reprint those numbers. Rules move. A copied kilogram table goes stale. AlgoCatch does not sell licences. The chart does not measure your fish for an inspector.
Prices and shops for Croatian stamps stay on the 2026 licence article. The document split is Croatia shore versus boat. This page will not reprint either job.
What this map is
Three countries. Three official gazettes. One visitor job: open the text that applies to the water under the hull or the feet, then keep to it.
Minimum size, daily keep, protected species, tool limits and closed seasons are written in those texts. Marine protected areas and harbour rules sit on top. The chart does not draw every reserve. AMP, lagoon and beach-season bans stay yours.
A habitat score is a model match. It is not a keep allowance. A high score does not raise a bag limit.
Croatia
Croatian sea uses Croatian recreational rules. Shore and boat are different documents. Guests on a skippered boat still need their own recreational document unless the 2026 parent says otherwise. That sit is fishing on a charter.
Keep and size rules are not this page’s table. They live in the ministry’s recreational-sea ordinances as published in the official gazette. Start at the Fisheries Directorate and the gazette itself: Narodne novine. Conservation sizes and related protection text appear in ordinances such as the 2023 protection ordinance. Recreational-sea fishing rules are the Pravilnik o športskom i rekreacijskom ribolovu na moru family, including the 2017 base text and later amendments on the same gazette. If a newer number has been issued for your travel year, the gazette search is the source. This page will not guess a kilogram column.
Place guides stay at /en/fishing. They may link here for “where the rules live”. They must not grow a second bag table.
Slovenia
Slovenian sea is not Croatian water. A Croatian stamp is not valid there. The permit sit is the Slovenian sea-fishing permit.
Keep, size and method rules for leisure sea fishing are published by the state, not by this chart. Read the topic page Morski ribolov on GOV.SI, the activity briefing Rekreacijski morski ribolov on SPOT, and the permit procedure on eUprava. The ordinance text sits in Uradni list, including the Rules on leisure sea fishing. Open those pages for the current keep and size figures. Do not copy a forum table here.
If you already sleep in Koper or Piran, stay on those place pages for water. Come here only for the rules map.
Italy
Italian sea on the published Trieste-Ancona strip is Italian water. A Croatian stamp is not valid there. Visitor permit notes live on Italy recreational rules.
Minimum sizes for many Mediterranean stocks are set in EU conservation rules as well as national measures. Start at EUR-Lex Regulation (EU) 2019/1241 and the Italian gazette Gazzetta Ufficiale. Ministry notices sit on MASAF. AMP zoning can ban take that the national table would still allow. Harbour and lagoon limits stay yours. This page will not paste a centimetre grid.
v1 coverage on the product ends at Ancona. That is a chart claim. It is not a statement that Italian law ends at Ancona.
What this page will not reprint
No kilogram table. No centimetre table. No 2026 price reprint. No shop list. No town index. No navigation claim.
If a blog or a marina printout shows numbers, treat them as a hint to open the gazette. The official text wins.
Protected water on top of the table
Even when a national size list would allow a fish, a reserve can forbid the take. Beach-season bans, harbour working water and farm buffers appear in the same official families. The chart does not certify a cast inside those belts. Empty is more honest than a borrowed mark.
Spear, longline and night tools can have extra paper. Technique pages describe the sit. They do not sell the extra stamp. Read the ordinance, then the skipper, then fish.
How to use this with a booked week
If the apartment is in Croatia, open the Croatian gazette path and the 2026 parent for the stamp. If the hull is Slovenian, open GOV.SI and Uradni list. If the day is already Italian, open Gazzetta Ufficiale, EUR-Lex and the Italy licence stub. Do not mix them because the gulf looks like one sea from a hill.
Which coast is where you sleep. This page is which law follows that water.
Last method
Jurisdiction. Official text. Then the pin. Then the hour. Then fish or release.
Open the P5 shore-versus-boat parent for the Croatian document split. Open Slovenia or Italy guides for those stamps. Open the gazettes for keep and size. Then leave.
Frequently asked questions
- Why are there no bag numbers on this page?
- Because they change, and a stale table is worse than a map of sources. Open the gazette for the water you are on.
- Does a habitat score change what I may keep?
- No. Score is a model match. Keep rules are the state’s.
- Where are Croatian licence prices?
- On the 2026 parent article. Not here.
- Can I use one stamp for HR, SI and IT?
- No. Three jurisdictions. Three documents.
