Istria vs Kvarner vs Dalmatia for a first fishing week

Pick a first fishing week: Istria, Kvarner or Dalmatia. The trip index is Adriatic fishing trips. Slovenia only if you are already in Koper or Piran. Italy only if you are already on that strip. Towns sit on the coast hubs below.

Istria

Shallows, class changes, short marina runs. Savudrija and Umag teach the hundred-metre miss. Poreč is western bays and tourist hours. Rovinj is rock and islands, not a surfcast primary. Start here if you want readable Folk-5 and a first sit. Hub: Fishing Istria. Example towns: Savudrija, Poreč, Rovinj.

If you can choose freely, Istria is the simplest first sit: short runs, readable Folk-5, orada edges, Poreč surf at dawn, Rovinj if you want rock. It is not the best coast. It is the coast where a first-timer can repeat a line.

Kvarner

More wind character. Krk is a side-choice island. Cres is current-line water. Stay-ashore matters. Start here if you already have a reason to be in the gulf, not because a list ranked it wilder. Hub: Fishing Kvarner. Examples: Krk, Cres.

Dalmatia

Longer coast, ferry water, outer islands. Split is a corridor problem as much as a fish problem. Vis is drop and rock where zones exist. Pag is flats plus Velebit. Start here if that is where the apartment is, or if you want island rock. Hub: Fishing Dalmatia. Examples: Split, Vis, Pag.

Slovenia, short

Already in Koper or Piran? Use those place pages and the Slovenian permit. Do not drive to Dalmatia because a week-picker said so. Hub: Fishing the Slovenian coast.

Italy, only if you are already there

Hub: Fishing NE Italy. Sea-side Trieste to Ancona. Trolling and shore-jigging overlays on that strip are not complete. Lagoon left out. Do not pick Italy as a first Croatia substitute. If you are already on that strip, stay on it.

Licence

Croatia, Slovenia and Italy are different stamps. Coast choice does not replace the document.
