Fishing Dalmatia: Pag to Dubrovnik, channels, islands and drop

This hub is the parent for nine live Dalmatia place guides, from Pag to Dubrovnik. It is not a tenth town. Channels, island crossings and local drop at Vis sit on one long coast. Croatian recreational rules apply. AlgoCatch does not sell a permit. A habitat score is a model match, not a fish count.

What this coast is (Pag flats → channel cities → island rock)

Pag is the northern child: wind, shallows and a sharp choice of island side. Velebit fetch is real. It is filed here. The gulf logic still overlaps Kvarner.

Zadar, Šibenik and Murter are channel and passage water. Short runs. Mixed Folk-5. City harbours and island belts. This is not a list of every cove.

Split is a corridor problem as much as a fish problem. Brač Channel, Čiovo and Kaštela. Ferry water can shut a window. See when to stay ashore.

Hvar, Vis and Korčula are longer island days. Vis is drop and rock where zones exist. Hvar is north-south contrast. Korčula is southern channel edges. Dubrovnik is the far south: Elafiti, steeper approaches, tourist-peak hours that are not a fishing plan.

Those nine are the children. This hub does not rank them as a holiday league table.

What this coast is not (Istria first sit, Kvarner as parent of Pag, a tenth town)

This is not the simplest first sit. That sentence belongs to Istria if you can choose freely. Pick Dalmatia because the apartment is here, or because you want island rock where the model has zones.

Folk-5 on this coast (mixed channels; rock and drop are local, mainly Vis)

Mixed Folk-5 is the usual inner-coast story: Zadar, Šibenik, Murter, Split. Sand appears on Pag flats. Rock and drop are named where the children actually have them: Vis first, not every island.

Do not call the whole coast a reef. Do not copy Rovinj's island field onto Šibenik walls.

A habitat score is still a model match. Read Folk-5 seabed before you treat a chip as a census.

Species honesty (dentex where zones exist; do not paste orada-first onto every island)

Common dentex (zobatec) is rock and drop. Vis is the honest named island when zones exist. Do not name Umag, Pag flats or Rimini as dentex targets.

Gilthead seabream (orada) can appear on mixed and sand edges. It is not a Dalmatia-wide stamp. Lead with whatever public zones the child page has.

Empty public cards stay empty.

Techniques that are safe to name (anchor on a class change; island days need a plan)

Anchor on a readable class change is safe to name. Sit. Correct if the first drop is mute.

Trolling is a search line, then a sit. Outer-island days need weather and ferry honesty. Packed summer harbours are not a dawn plan.

Shore fishing exists on some children. It is not a boat-week substitute.
