What you will learn: how to find every control on the fishing map — phone and desktop — without guessing which icon to tap.

The map is one screen with sheets (panels that slide up) rather than lots of separate pages. The sea stays visible underneath.
Phone and tablet (bottom bar)
Four buttons sit at the bottom:

When a sheet is open, that bottom bar hides so your thumb is not fighting the panel. Close the sheet (swipe down, tap outside, or use the close control) to get the bar back.
A round button may appear over the map (3D, or a zoom hint). That is the smart button: it offers 3D seafloor when it is useful, or asks you to zoom in so depth detail can load. It hides while a sheet is open.
Top of the screen
From left to right you typically have:
- Menu (☰) — Knowledge base, Model accuracy, Support, language, cookies, log out, and (when relevant) manage subscription, delete account, gift count, change password. On small phones, Dodaj Ulov (log a catch) is also here.
- Notifications bell — in-app messages. Badge = unread. See Notifications.
- AlgoCatch logo — returns you to the map if you wandered.
- Mode pill (for example Trolling) — opens Fishing Modes. This is the most important control: it changes how the map thinks. See Fishing modes.
- Dodaj Ulov — opens Fish Catcher to log a catch. The label is Croatian even in the English app.
- On wider screens: Layers, Weather, and Experimental as extra buttons so you do not need More.
Desktop extras
On a large screen a workspace panel can sit beside the map (setup + tools without covering the whole chart). Along the bottom edge a status strip shows:
- How much chart detail you have at this zoom (soundings, contours, …)
- A primary action such as Draw Route or Draw Longline
- Entry to 3D seafloor
- Attribution: bathymetry and seabed come from EMODnet. The line Not for navigation is deliberate.
Sheets you will use every trip

Locked items stay visible. A lock means “this exists; Free cannot run it yet.” Tapping it opens upgrade copy, it does not pretend the tool ran. See Free vs VIP.
App menu (full list)
Open the hamburger / ⋮ menu for:
- Knowledge base
- Model accuracy
- Support
- Language
- Piškotki / Cookies
- Log out
- Manage subscription (if you can change billing)
- Delete account
- Change password (when offered)
- Gift summary: You've gifted {n} private previews or No private previews gifted yet
Move around the chart
- Drag to pan.
- Pinch or scroll to zoom. Depth numbers and habitats get clearer as you zoom in.
- Tap water (not a button) to inspect. See Inspect a point.
- If a sheet or legend is in the way, close it — overlay chrome is meant to ignore stray taps except on real buttons.
