Think of this sheet as the workbench for the mode you picked. The map is the paper chart; this is the pencil.
Two sections

If both are empty you see: No setup or tools for this mode yet. That happens for some weather/effort views where you only tap the map to inspect. Use Layers and tap the sea instead.
Setup first, then tools
Always set species (and season when it appears) before you tap Find / Suggest. The engine scores water for that fish. If you leave the default species, you will get marks for the default, not for what you actually want.
Examples:
- Trolling setup: depth profile (shallow coast ≤30 m vs deeper offshore) and pelagic species.
- Anchor / shore / surf: target species inside the finder; dentex also asks for season because preferred depth changes through the year.
- Spearfishing: extra Technique dropdown.
- Longline: sea bream vs common pandora.

Phone vs desktop
On a phone, Tools covers the lower half of the screen. Set species, run a search, then close the sheet so you can tap results on the map.
On desktop, keep the workspace open while you pan. A Draw Route button also sits on the bottom status strip so you do not hunt for it.
