What you will learn: what the app is for, who it is for, and how the Free map and VIP map differ — in plain language.
AlgoCatch is a fishing planner for the Adriatic Sea. It shows you the bottom and the water before you leave the car, the harbour, or the beach: depths, seabed type, species habitats, and suggested spots or trolling lines.
It does not replace a marine chart, a plotter, or local knowledge. Use it to decide where to try. On the water, navigate with proper equipment.
The idea in one sentence
You pick how you fish (trolling, anchor, shore, and so on). The map then thinks in that style: it recommends zones, routes, or structure that match that technique and the species you care about.

After you create an account and confirm your email, you land on the map. That is the main product.
What you can do without paying
A Free account is a real map, not a teaser screenshot. You can:
- Open the planner and move around the Adriatic coverage
- Use Trolling, Anchor, and Longline
- Read gilthead seabream (orada) habitat
- Inspect a tap on the sea (depth, bottom, access)
- Save a couple of spots and routes on this device
- Get 2 route suggestions per day (4 during the first 48 hours)
- Log catches, contact support, and read knowledge articles
The first 48 hours after you start using the map often include a short trial boost: gilthead plus European seabass habitat, and 4 route suggestions per day. When the boost ends, Free limits return. The map still works.
What VIP adds
VIP unlocks the rest of the planner: extra fishing modes (shore jigging, surfcasting, spearfishing), every live habitat species, unlimited route suggestions, forecasts beyond today, 3D seafloor, ranked-zone export, and gifting a private 48-hour preview to a fishing mate.

Typical first trip with the app
- Create a free account and confirm your email.
- On the map, tell AlgoCatch where you fish and what you chase.
- Turn on layers so you can see contours and the bottom.
- Tap the water to read depth and habitat at that point.
- Either save a spot or try one free route.
